We tried Proof and Copper for the first time today and we were impressed. We had the brisket eggs Benedict off the brunch menu and also got brisket, sausage and smoked ham so we could check them out.
The Benedict was great. The eggs were poached perfectly and the hollandaise sauce was spot on.
For the bbq- it was all excellent. The drink menu also looked good and they have a great outdoor area.
Dropped in for the Saturday boiled crawfish special. They were perfectly seasoned and not over cooked. Tails popped right out of the shell. Very fat too. Brought in that morning from LA. Got the 5 lb special with potatoes, corn and sausage. My fiancé and I shared that and a couple of local brews on tap and were stuffed...
Some of the best pulled pork and ribs I have had in Austin. French fries are really good as well. Great selection of draft beer. Laid back atmosphere were you can sip beer on the porch and enjoy a fried pickle appetizer. I am definitely bringing my relatives and friends soon!
Here again! They have really updated their burger game. There brisket is phenomenal. I am a huge critic of brisket and i give them a 10!! I will be back for a lot more brisket. They keep getting better and better.
